While the students provide the talent, there is a great deal of volunteer time and financial resources needed as well.
The SRHS Music Boosters provide both volunteer and financial support to the SRHS Music program. We all know playing an instrument is expensive, from annual upkeep to regular consumables, such as reeds and sheet music.
How much should I donate?
Because you and your student(s) have the right to free public education, your voluntary donation is optional but would be greatly appreciated. How much to donate is a personal decision, but our current estimate for one student for the school year/per ensemble is Orchestra: $200, Concert Band: $200, Marching Band & Color Guard: $250, and Winter Guard: $300 (These numbers do not include any transportation fees).
Don’t forget to ask your employer if they match employees’ donations to eligible nonprofits!
How are donations used?
Expenses include ensemble festivals, music/curriculum, online theory training software, repairing and purchasing school-owned instruments, purchase of necessary equipment, music licensing fees, tournament entry fees, and more!

Your right to a free education is for all school/educational activities, whether curricular or extracurricular, and whether you get a grade for the activity or class.
