It’s been an unprecedented award winning season for our Marching Band! With at score of 86.9, we placed second at the CSBC Semi-finals. Next Saturday we are off to Division Finals. For the first time ever, we may even stay for Grand Championships later that same evening (see details below). Congratulations to our exceptional Marching Band! We are so proud of you all.

Per the director packet, here are the guidelines for advancement into Championships:
The first place band from each division at division finals will be accepted for Championships. Additionally, the next 6 highest scores regardless of division will be advanced.
At Championships all groups will perform in one division and be placed 1st through 12th. Performance order will be decided by random draw. Division winners will draw for performance order in the last 6 performance times of the evening and the next highest 6 scores will draw for the first 6 performance times
What To Wear & Bring:
Black Shirt/Show Shirt
Black Compression Shorts
Long Black Socks
Ladies: Double braids are requested
Gentlemen: Keep your hair out of your face/ clean shaven
NO makeup/ jewelry/ nail polish
Bring a packed lunch or money to buy food
PARENTS Wanted- Cheering section!
Even if you can’t volunteer, come support your SRHS Marching! We encourage parents to carpool to tournaments. Just like our tournament, you will need to purchase tickets and concessions will be available. We have a lot of fun cheering on our fantastic band! ALL welcome.
Directions & Parking

Civic Center parking at Main and Yorktown – This is across the street from the stadium’s main entrance, but some distance from the band’s buses. This is most convenient for spectators. DO NOT PARK in spots with restrictions (closest to Police Station) – you will get ticketed!
Cross Main St. at the corner. – Business Park at Main/Yorktown caddycorner from stadium This is across from the Civic Center and Seacliff. Easy in and out. Close to spectator entrance.
Street Parking- There is lots of parking available on the streets in the neighborhood adjacent to the school, particularly to the East. Expect 5 minutes of walking, but an easy exit.
Albertson’s/Seacliff Shopping Center at Main and Yorktown- DO NOT PARK HERE! This lot is across from the stadium, but they may tow your vehicle. Please avoid this lot.
Our Marching Band continues to impress us! With a score of 84.5, our students not only placed FIRST in the 4A division but also won the tournament sweepstakes!

Thank you so much to all of you who came and supported our home tournament, in spite of the heat. With a score of 76.4, our students not only placed FIRST in our division but also WON the tournament! We also earned top overall Music Performance, best Visual Performance, and top Music Effect Performance. We will have more photos of the event posted to the site as soon as possible.
