Music Boosters

The SRHS Music Boosters is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the education and experience of the music students at Scripps Ranch High School.  Lead by the Booster Board, we are the cornerstone that keeps things running smoothly. This support is provided through logistics, fundraising and encouragement.

The Boosters  support the entire music program including Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Winter Guard, Winter Drumline and all ensembles stemming from these programs.

If you are looking for deeper involvement with the Music Booster Organization, consider participating on the Board. Board Positions

President

Acts as a liaison with the school and works with the Music Director to establish priorities for action and support requirements from the Music Boosters. Coordinates with the Treasurer, overseeing the financial records and budget. Collaborates with the Booster Board to determine music program needs, establish priorities, make financial decisions, ensure fundraising activities are arranged, and communicate with parents/caregivers on the program and needs through meetings, newsletter, and Remind.

Vice President (Concert Program)

Ensures that Concert needs (e.g., volunteer, ticketing, program, etc.) are met.  Liaison for music ensembles with parents/caregivers and board.  An active member of the board helping to make key decisions.

Vice President (Marching Band)

Ensures the Marching Band needs, including volunteers, are met. Liaison for Marching Band with parents/caregivers and board. An active member of the board helping to make key decisions. Must be a member of the Falcon Tournament Committee.

Treasurer

Directly responsible for the booster financial transactions, records, budget, and coordinating income tax filing. Duties include tracking expenses, paying invoices, and reimbursing individuals for purchases. Provides cash boxes and change for events. This position is vital to the group, and experience with finances is preferred. An active member of the board helping to make key decisions.

Secretary

An active member of the board, helping to make key decisions and taking minutes at board  and parent meetings. Maintains effective records and administration of the SRHS Music Booster Bylaws. Upholds legal requirements for 501c(3) status.

Communications Officer

Works with the President and Music Director on parent/caregiver communications (e.g., newsletter, Remind, etc.), and maintains SRHS Music website accuracy.  An active member of the board helping to make key decisions.

Color Guard Representative

Ensures the Color Guard/Winter Guard needs, including volunteers, are met. Liaison for Guard with parents/caregivers and board. An active member of the board helping to make key decisions. 

Winter Drumline Representative

Ensures the Winter Drumline needs, including volunteers, are met. Liaison for Guard with parents/caregivers and board. An active member of the board helping to make key decisions.

Fundraising Committee Chair*

Oversees the fundraising committee and acts as a liaison between committee and board. Schedules two or more committee meetings a year, assigns tasks to committee members, and checks in with team members on progress.

Falcon Tournament Committee Chair

Oversees the planning and execution of the tournament.  Works with the Falcon Tournament Committee to organize all aspects of the event (e.g., volunteers, concessions, parking, hospitality, first aid, etc).

End of Year Concert Committee Chair

Oversees the planning and execution of the End of Year Concert.  Works with the End of Year Concert Committee to organize all aspects of the event (e.g., volunteers, food, decor, VIPs, silent auction, etc).
