Marching Band

The experience of participating in the Scripps Ranch High School Marching Band goes beyond learning how to play music. Students gain lifelong skills such as responsibility, self-esteem, leadership, sharing, time management, and discovering what a group can do by working together. Students make friendships that build into a strong network of peers that will always be there for them when they need them most.
This multi-talented ensemble of performers include Woodwinds, Brass, Battery (on-field Percussion), Front Ensemble (Pit), and Color Guard. Russel Shedd is the Music Director and he works with a talented team of coaches, including Cameron Brown (MMS Music Director). The Drum Major(s) and Assistant Drum Major(s) lead the band with each section having a student leader/captain who guides and ensures the quality of their section’s performance.
In addition to the website, information on the program is communicated via email from Mr. Shedd, at parent meetings and through Remind (How to sign up for Remind updates).
